The Words My Friends Usually Describe Me

Friends can only be the people who know you second from God for two reasons: 1. Friends are the people whom you talk to with most of the time 2. You are most comfortable around your friends and you just do whatever you want and say whatever you like without restrictions unlike when you talk to your parents where there are restricted topics. I mean there are topics you can’t just really start blabbing in front of your parents. Well, that is just my opinion.

So here are the 9 words my friends frequently use to describe me. Most of them I took from my Friendster testimonials and some from the text messages they sent me that I recorded on my notebook. I have this habit of writing down the text messages I feel like could be of use in the future especially when it has something to do with my personality. By the way, to be specific, the friends I’m talking about are my high school friends.--,)

1. Childish/bataot
Okay fine. I’m childish. I like the part of me being childish because this way I could just be carefree and selfish. So what? At least I know how to think and behave maturely in critical occasions and not the other way around.

2. Intelligent/bright/smart
They always say I’m intelligent. One teacher even complimented me saying that I always speak with sense. Astrology says people born under my sign are intelligent. I also think I’m intelligent but only supported by the fact that I had been a consistent honor student back in high school. But the thing is I’m always slow on receiving initial information. In many situations, I consider myself being left behind, confused of what is really what, while others think it is already obvious and it isn’t worth explaining. I could only sulk for being so ignorant in such situations.

3. Bugay
I am a sort of like this. It’s fun but more likely, I go beyond the limit offending people unintentionally. So I’m not so proud of this.

4. Pretty
I think a girl’s friends would typically describe her as pretty. Most probably, it is also the reason why they describe me as such.

5. Listener
Through listening, you learn a lot of things. You learn from the speaker’s ideas, experiences, and learned lessons. Besides when you’re a speaker, and when you express yourself, being listened is the best compliment you’ll ever need.

6. Sip-onon
I hate this. I don’t like being teased as such, honestly. Why do I always get colds for always more than a week or two? I protest!

7. Selosa
Am I? Well, I think I am. I get jealous for so many reasons. I can get jealous just by seeing a person given much attention than I am. I can get jealous just by seeing a person get more credit than I have. I can be jealous for so many illogical reasons.

8. Fighter
Everyone is a fighter to survive. Everyone is fighter when they are aiming at something. For some reason, my opinions can’t just be easily swayed by some other people’s opinion. And I will always believe in and fight for my ideas unless I’m proved and convinced wrong. Maybe that’s why they described me as fighter.

9. “nonsense”
This expression was not originally mine. It started at home when almost all comments in a conversation will always be preceded with the word “nonsense”. Then I carried the habit at school, until most people in school call me “nonsense”.
